A raid aimed at combating drug graffiti was carried out in the Almaty metropolitan area as part of the large-scale campaign "Taza Kazakhstan", the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
Employees of the district akimat, together with representatives of the police and volunteers of the Astana Zhastary Youth Resource Center, held an action to combat drug-related agitation. They painted over illegal signs advertising drug sites.
Special attention was paid to the area along Zhumabayev Street, where student dormitories are located. This area, taking into account its importance for young people, was chosen as a priority for preventive measures.
"We held an action to prevent the spread of drugs among the youth of the capital. Inscriptions with the names of drug sites were found near the dormitory, where a large number of students live. We have painted over all the names," said Indira Maremova, a volunteer at the IDC Astana Zhastary.
Such raids contribute not only to improving public order, but also to protecting young people from the harmful effects of drugs, the organizers believe.
"A joint effort was made to identify advertisements for prohibited resources. In the Almaty region, namely in the area of the house at 16/1 Zhumabayev Street, information about drug sites was discovered, which was immediately deleted," said Almaty district police inspector Askar Bagasov.
Preventive measures are carried out on an ongoing basis in all districts of Astana.
