Universiade: During the first week of the XXXII Winter Universiade, held in Turin, Italy, students from Kazakhstan won 11 medals (3 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze).

Fencing: In the Junior Fencing World Cup team competition in Manama, Bahrain, the Kazakh national team won the gold medal, and in singles, Mustafin Gabiden won the bronze medal.
Women's wrestling: Bronze medalist of the Rio Olympics Elmira Syzdykova (76 kg) and Guldana Bekesh (59 kg) competed at the Henry Deglane Grand Prix, organized in Nice, France.
Table tennis: Alan Kurmangaliev won a bronze medal at the WTT Youth Star Contender Tunis table tennis tournament in Tunis.
