Akmola region has marked an important event for the sports life of the region - the construction of a new sports school building has been launched in the village of Zerenda. The facility is scheduled to be completed at the end of the year.
The construction of a children's and youth sports school is one of the first projects in the country, which, on behalf of the Head of State, is being implemented at the expense of funds returned to the state. So, last year, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan decided to allocate funds from the Special Fund for the implementation of a social project for the construction of a sports complex in the village of Zerenda, Akmola region, worth 2.1 billion tenge. The new DYuSSh building will be built within the framework of the Law "On the return of illegally Acquired Assets to the State."
The event was attended by the akim of the Akmola region, the sports community of the region, deputies and activists of the district.
Addressing the audience, Marat Akhmetzhanov stressed that this event is an important step towards raising a healthy and active generation.
"This project is being implemented within the framework of the task set by the President for the development of mass and children's sports. I am sure that the sports school will be a center of attraction for the villagers and the entire district, will become a venue for sporting and cultural events, great victories and records," said the head of the region.
According to the project, the new building with an area of more than 6 thousand square meters will consist of 2 blocks, where wrestling, boxing halls, two gyms and other facilities will function. The construction of the sports complex is carried out by the local company UK Stroy LLP.
"The development of infrastructure and sports facilities is an incentive for young people. Today, 806 students are studying at a sports school in the district, and thanks to the construction of the school, the number of our students will increase to 1,500," said Kairbek Tleubayev, director of the sports school.
The festive events ended with a ski race, which gathered about 100 participants.
