On January 20, at a staff meeting chaired by Akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai, the progress of the implementation of the environmental initiative "Taza Kazakhstan" was reviewed, which was launched by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The head of the region instructed the akims of cities and districts to continue the tradition of cleaning and beautification of settlements started in the region.
- All cities and districts should step up their efforts to carry out high-quality cleaning activities, which have become our national tradition, and take appropriate measures. If you need special equipment, please give suggestions. In any case, we must not stop the tradition of cleanliness, which has started at a high pace in Mangystau. Currently, the weather conditions in the region are favorable for cleaning operations. All opportunities should be used," said Nurdaulet Kilybai.
The Taza Kazakhstan event, which started last year, is being actively implemented in the region. In 2024, a special plan was approved, and work was carried out on cleaning and landscaping in districts, towns and villages.
According to the deputy head of the regional department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, Haidar Toleushov, more than 168 thousand residents took part in the clean-up in 2024, 1,738 units of special equipment were involved. As a result, 27,462 tons of garbage were removed, 61 of 69 unauthorized landfills were eliminated. At the same time, the seabed was cleaned.
- Aktau city took the 6th place in the republic within the framework of the Taza Kala project initiated by the head of state. Currently, the Monogorod project has been launched, and the cities of Fort Shevchenko and Zhanaozen, Beineu district, are included in it from the region," Haidar Toleushov said.
An action plan has been prepared for the implementation of the Taza Kazakhstan concept for 2024-2029.
It should be noted that the environmental initiative "Taza Kazakhstan" will continue in 2025.
