Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Myrzabosynov met with the President of the International Federation of Water Sports
(World Aquatics) By Hussein Al-Musallam. During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of popularization of water sports, their positive impact on public health, as well as the development of skills necessary to save lives.
One of the key areas of development in this sector is the education of the population in swimming. For several years now, a program has been successfully implemented in Asia with the support of World Aquatics experts aimed at training coaches in modern swimming techniques and effective methods of training athletes.
Minister Yerbol Myrzabosynov spoke in detail about the current state of the infrastructure for water sports in Kazakhstan and stressed that more and more attention is being paid to this area every year.
"Currently, special attention is being paid to the development of water sports. During the years of independence, athletes have reached the podium of the world championship. In the history of the country, Dmitry Balandin brought Kazakhstan the first Olympic gold in swimming. Last year, Nargiza Bolatova and Eduard Kim won gold in artistic swimming at the World Championships. These achievements are the results of hard work and dedication over many years," said Erbol Myrzabosynov.
The President of World Aquatics, Hussein Al-Musallam, expressed confidence in the successful development of water sports in Kazakhstan and wished the Kazakh national team good luck at the upcoming IX Asian Winter Games, which will be held in February this year in Harbin (China).
