A job fair for young people was held at L. Gumilev Eurasian National University in Astana, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
About 2 thousand people took part in the event, and more than 80 institutions presented their works. The organizers of the fair were the metropolitan Department for Youth Policy, the Astana Zhastary Youth Resource Center, the Labor Mobility Center and this higher educational institution. The fair was aimed at promoting the employment of graduates of educational institutions, as well as unemployed youth through direct contact between the employer and the applicant.
"The fair was attended by a number of employers, such as national and private companies, government organizations that provided vacancies to university graduates, students and youth of the capital. On the part of the management, such fairs are often organized. Because thanks to such events, young people get jobs in the institutions they need. That is, the effectiveness of the fair lies in the fact that young people communicate on the same platform with representatives of a number of companies and receive answers to their questions," said Yerlan Aidar, Acting head of the Department for Work with educational institutions and youth organizations of the city Youth Policy Department.
Olzhas Omar, Director of the Center for Labor Mobility, noted that for young professionals who have just graduated from university, you can find work under the Youth Practice program in your specialty.
This year, 6 such job fairs for young people have been organized in the capital, and the number of employers who regularly participate in the event is growing. Institutions in the fields of education, trade, finance, and construction conducted awareness-raising activities and accepted resumes from citizens looking for work.
