The construction of a new multidisciplinary regional hospital continues in the city of Kosshy. The hospital has a capacity of 350 beds and will serve the population of the city of Kossy and seven other metropolitan regions. The hospital is being built at the expense of private investments from Viamedis.
The total amount of private investment in the project is more than 28 billion tenge, of which 17 billion will be allocated for construction work, and more than 9 billion for equipping the hospital with modern medical equipment. The new hospital will include a polyclinic with 1,000 visits per shift, as well as departments of surgery, traumatology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, oncology and chemotherapy.
The construction of the hospital is divided into two parts – a polyclinic and a hospital. Asset Akhmetov, General Director of Viamedis LLP, noted that all major constructive work will be completed by mid-February. Then, by May 2025, the facade of the building will be equipped and landscaping will be carried out.
"A polyclinic for city residents will be introduced by the end of the year. According to the project, the hospital was supposed to be launched at the end of 2026, but now we are ahead of schedule. Therefore, starting from the third quarter of 2026, we plan to launch our hospital. We try to work with local manufacturers on building materials," said Asset Akhmetov, General Director of Viamedis LLP.
Currently, up to two hundred people are involved in construction and installation work. Among them is the electrician of Viamedis LLP Bakhtiyar Ybrayuly.
"I am currently engaged in heating and joining concrete slabs. We understand how important an object we are building. After all, the hospital is being built on behalf of the Head of State. In addition, this year 2025 is the year of the working professions. Therefore, the new facility must be built with high quality," said Bakhtiyar Ybrayuly.
The decision to build a new multidisciplinary hospital with a polyclinic was made in June 2024. Then a memorandum was signed between the Akimat of Akmola region and Viamedis company.
