Harbin 2025 will be a record-breaking Asian Winter Games in terms of the number of participants.

The IX Asian Winter Games, which will be attended by 1,275 athletes from 34 national Olympic committees of the continent, will be held in Harbin, China, from February 7 to 14.
According to the Olympic Council of Asia, this is a record among the Winter Games. Saudi Arabia and Cambodia will participate in winter sports for the first time.
32 national Olympic committees, including 30 Asian countries, as well as Australia and New Zealand from the Pacific region, registered for the previous competitions, which were held in Sapporo, Japan. The total number of athletes was 1,147 people. After 8 years in Harbin, their number will increase by 128 athletes.
Of the total number of participants (1,275 athletes), 755 are men and 520 are women. 847 athletes will compete in the ice arenas, while the remaining 428 athletes will determine the strongest in snow disciplines such as biathlon and cross-country skiing, which will be held in the city of Yabuli.
In addition, 32 sets of ice medals will be awarded at the IX Asian Winter Games in Harbin, and 32 more gold medals will be awarded in the snow disciplines in Yabuli.
The Olympic Council of Asia includes 45 national Olympic committees. The headquarters of the organization is located in the capital of Kuwait.
