The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan is actively participating in the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which takes place from December 2 to 13, 2024 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On December 3, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Nysanbayev took part in the second key event of the day — the ministerial dialogue on the impact of land degradation on migration flows.

During his speech, Yerlan Nysanbayev noted: "Land degradation and droughts are challenges that require immediate action and global cooperation. Kazakhstan is actively working to restore land, improve resource management and strengthen social sustainability. We invite our colleagues to cooperate and work together to create a sustainable and prosperous future for all our countries and regions."
This event provided Kazakhstan with an opportunity to showcase its achievements and initiatives in the field of land restoration, as well as strengthen international cooperation to jointly address global environmental challenges. Participation in the dialogue underlined the country's willingness to share experiences, support international efforts and contribute to creating a sustainable and prosperous future for all regions.
