Today, on January 22, by order of Akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai, Amantai Kumbayev was appointed as the new head of the regional department of education.
Amantai Kumbaev was born in 1979. Higher education. In 2001, he graduated from Aktau State University named after Sh.Yessenova is a history teacher with a degree in Law in 2020.
He started his career in 2000 as a foreman at Femina LLP, and worked in the private sector until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, he was the deputy director for educational work at Secondary school No. 10 in Aktau.
From 2015 to 2020, he worked as a leading specialist at the Department of Education Control of Mangystau region, a leading specialist and chief specialist at the Department of External Education Quality Assessment of the Department of Mangystau region of the Education and Science Control Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2020, he was appointed Head of the Department of licensing educational activities of the Department of Quality Assurance in Education of the Mangystau region of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2021 to 2024, he worked as chief inspector in the offices of Akim of Karakiyansky district and Aktau city, deputy akim of Omirzak village, head of the department of the Aktau City Department of Culture, Physical Culture and Sports state institution.

In 2024, he was the head of the General Education and Public Service sector of the Aktau City Department of Education, head of the Department of State and Legal Work of the office of the Akim of Aktau.
Prior to that, he held the position of head of the Department of Regional policy and organizational work of the office of the Akim of Mangystau region.
