With the support of the Japanese Embassy, specialists from the Japan International Cooperation Agency inspected 13 hydraulic structures in 4 regions of Kazakhstan.
Experts examined facilities in Akmola, Karaganda, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions that were heavily stressed during the floods.
And experts from the Netherlands held seminars on flood risk management in Astana and Aktobe within the framework of a memorandum between the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and the Delft Institute of Water Education.
