The STOP Drug! project is aimed at actively involving civil society in countering the spread of drugs and provides for the payment of monetary rewards to persons who provide reliable information about drug violations.
In January of this year, the first signal was received about the fact of drug distribution. According to the results of the measures carried out, a citizen was identified who had more than 60 grams of synthetic drugs seized, which, based on the conclusion of a forensic chemical examination, are the psychotropic substance α-pyrrolidine valerophenone (α-PVP).
The malefactor was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
For the information received, the reporting person received a monetary incentive in the amount of 305 thousand tenge.
The pilot project is being implemented on the basis of a 4-party Memorandum concluded between the Prosecutor's Office, the Police Department, the Akimat of the region and the Paryz Foundation in accordance with the norms of the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
