As part of a large-scale gasification project in Astana, access to blue fuel is provided to 14,000 subscribers with coverage of almost 216,000 residents of the capital. The head of the city Energy Department, Nurlan Kupeshov, spoke about the stages of the project implementation, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The construction of gas distribution networks in the capital is divided into three stages. In 2023, the construction of two queues was completed, which made it possible to connect consumers in the districts of Saryarka, Almaty, Yesil and Nura.
The construction of gas supply networks to the Turan, Telman, and Yugo-Vostok gas heating stations and to the residential areas of Ilyinka, Telman, Prigorodny, Family Village, Ondiris, and Kirpichny was also completed.
16 boilers at thermal power plants and 20 social facilities have been converted to gas. The transfer of social facilities from diesel fuel to gas allowed for budget savings in the amount of 977 million tenge over the past heating season.
As part of the third stage, work is planned from 2024 to 2026.
"As of today, 800 km of gas supply networks, 27 gas distribution points, and 58 cabinet gas distribution points are in operation in the city. Access to gas is provided to 14 thousand subscribers with coverage of almost 216 thousand people. At the same time, the total population subject to gasification is 300 thousand people. More than 12,000 subscribers are connected to the gas," Nurlan Kupeshov said.
Starting from January 1, 2025, the gas tariff for individuals was approved in the amount of 38.9 tenge per cubic meter. Estimated gas costs for housing of 100 sq. m. m is 17-20 thousand tenge per month, 120 sq. m. m – 20-25 thousand tenge per month.
