Moped registration: what you need to know

From April 5, 2025, mopeds will be officially equated to mechanical vehicles.

To use them:

Registration with the police;

A1, A or B category driver's license;

Technical inspection;

Civil liability insurance will be required.

To register, you must apply to a special PSC at your place of residence with the following documents:

Personal identification card (can be in electronic form);

Technical document or specifications of the moped.

Then you need to fill out an application, have the moped inspected, and pay the necessary state fees.
