 Over the past two days, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has rescued and evacuated about 700 people on Kazakhstan's roads due to deteriorating weather conditions, blizzards, ice, strong winds, and zero visibility. As a result of the difficult meteorological situation in 15 regions, traffic restrictions have been introduced on 62 sections of highways of republican significance and more than 65 sections of regional significance.

  According to Kazhydromet, 18 storm warnings have been issued in the country over the past day, which will remain in effect for the next two days. Visibility has significantly deteriorated during heavy snowstorms and snowfall, resulting in traffic jams on highways.

  Emergency Situations employees, together with local executive bodies, road and medical services, and volunteers, have organized assistance to the population. Heated tents have been set up in places of traffic jams, hot meals have been organized, and points have been prepared for the accommodation of people and the transportation of farm animals to nearby settlements. Operational headquarters have been opened in 18 regions of the country, and hotline telephones are working.

  Over the past two days, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan have made 337 and 131 search and rescue operations. During the operation, 685 people, including 40 children, were rescued and evacuated, and more than 60 An ambulance with a woman inside could not continue the journey due to adverse weather conditions. Rescuers transported the pregnant woman to the Osakarovka village of Karaganda region using TREKOL equipment and handed her over to doctors.

  Assistance to a seven-year-old child in Zhambyl region.

  On the night of January 21, a message was received in the Zhualy district of Zhambyl region about a seven-year-old child with a high temperature. Due to adverse weather conditions, rescuers, together with ambulance workers, set off on a TREKOL off-road vehicle. The child was taken to the central district hospital, where he is currently under the supervision of doctors.

  Evacuation of foreign citizens in Aktobe region.

  A minibus traveling from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation broke down on the Samara-Shymkent highway. The driver called for help, and rescuers evacuated 9 passengers, including a child, to a nearby warming point. Hot meals were provided for the passengers. Foreign citizens thanked Kazakhstani rescuers for their promptness and assistance.

  Truck removal in Mangystau region.

  Due to heavy rainfall in the Karakiya district of Mangystau region, 52 trucks got stuck in the mud on the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan highway. Rescuers on duty helped the drivers warm up and, with the help of local authorities, towed the vehicles to cleared sections of the road. Most of the drivers were citizens of neighboring countries and thanked the rescuers for their assistance.

  Transportation of citizens in Akmola region.

  In the Akmola region, 13 people were noticed by the capital's rescuers walking towards the settlement during a severe blizzard. For the safety of citizens, they were urgently taken to the nearest settlement by the Emergency Situations Department.

  Rescue operation on the "Zhezkazgan-Satpayev" highway in the Ulytau region.

  Due to the deterioration of the weather, a traffic jam of more than 1,200 cars occurred on the "Zhezkazgan-Satpayev" highway. Emergency Situations Department rescuers, together with police and local executive authorities, organized the safe transportation of the motorcade to the nearest settlements. During the operation, 24 citizens were provided with assistance, 8 vehicles were evacuated and towed. All people were taken to a safe place.

  Providing assistance with the Emergency Situations Department, patrols were conducted on difficult snowy sections of the highways using high-traffic vehicles for the presence of people and vehicles stuck in traffic jams. There are currently no deaths or injuries. Rescuers continue to work around the clock, providing assistance to the public and ensuring safety on the roads.

At present, there are no deaths or injuries. Rescuers continue to work around the clock, providing assistance to the population and ensuring safety on highways.

  The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan calls on citizens to take precautions, follow storm warnings and avoid long trips in adverse weather conditions. Rural residents are advised to refrain from long walks in case of worsening weather conditions.
