The pensioners of the Center for Active Longevity in Astana not only captured on paper their fantasies about a beautiful winter, but also organized a special exhibition "Kysy Kiyal", the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
30 pensioners who gave lectures at the art studio of the Almaty regional branch of the Center presented their paintings on the theme "Kys Kelbeti".
Today, the exhibition of drawings prepared by the hands of pensioners is visited by visitors of the center and citizens.
Pensioners started preparing for the exhibition "Kysi Kiyal" three months ago. Since the first snowfall, they have managed to capture on paper winter, the first snow, ice, snow drifts, amazing time, and beautiful natural phenomena.
"Art therapy is useful for the elderly. With the help of drawing, you can activate a person's inner creativity, improve memory and attention. We have art lessons every day. Pensioners who want to learn how to draw come to our studio. Among them are active and capable pensioners who learned how to draw in retirement. I would especially like to mention cultural Madeni Asatova, Maria Serimova, Saltanat Myrzabayeva and Gaukhar Kamalieva," said Aigul Kozhakhmetova, the head of the circle.
