Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhaev met with representatives of the World Bank. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the region.
The bank's senior specialist on urbanization, Mohamed Nada, expressed a desire to get acquainted with the infrastructure projects of the region in which a financial institution can invest.
The head of the region noted the existence of high-priority projects in the development of the region and noted how important they are for the population. Currently, it is planned to implement projects in the region related to passenger transport and highways, construction, energy, natural resources and other industries.
"All the projects that we prioritize are aimed at improving the conditions of the region's residents. These include such important infrastructure projects as the construction of social facilities, the modernization of drinking water supply, heating, sewerage systems, and the construction of solid waste landfills. I think that in total we will get acquainted with more than 60 of these projects and find one common solution," said the governor of the region.
In accordance with this, the head of the region instructed his deputy Dimitri Garikov to thoroughly familiarize the bank's representatives with the projects in the region and carefully work out each issue.
