The Semey city administration has moved into a new building. The former "Irtysh" hotel in the regional center has undergone major renovation and has been transferred to the akimat's sectoral departments and some departments. Today, the head of the region, Nurlan Urankhayev, visited the administrative building and inspected it.
The multi-storey building has changed beyond recognition. The necessary conditions have been created for the convenience of residents. The interior and exterior of the building have been renovated to meet the requirements, and the heating, ventilation, water, and sewage systems have been replaced. Lighting has also been paid attention to. CCTV cameras have also been installed inside the building. Doors and windows have been replaced, and the floor and ceiling have been repaired. A new elevator has been installed.
The building also houses the veterans' council, a citizens' reception center, and the regional communications service.
"Our task is to respond promptly to requests from our fellow citizens. Taking this into account, we decided that it would be advisable to place the city administration departments in one building. "The residents of the city and region who come to the building will receive answers to their questions addressed to representatives of the local executive authorities in one place. This will save people's time and allow them to receive the services they need," the regional akim said.
In addition, the regional head instructed to complete the landscaping of the building's courtyard.
