An international scientific and practical conference entitled "Policy of Unity and Solidarity in Kazakhstan: Experience and Prospects" was held in Astana on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
The event was dedicated to analyzing the experience of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in strengthening interethnic harmony and national unity over the past 30 years. Participants discussed current and future opportunities and developed proposals for developing a policy of unity and solidarity in the face of global changes.
The conference was attended by representatives of state bodies, members of the National Congress, members of the Scientific and Expert Council of the ANC, Kazakh and foreign scientists, as well as experts in the field of social sciences and the humanities.
It was noted that the anniversary of the Assembly is an important stage in the development of interethnic relations. Participants emphasized the importance of introducing advanced approaches in this area and developing practical recommendations for decision-making at the state level.
During the event, special attention was paid to the need to strengthen information and explanatory work on promoting state policy, to revitalize educational activities, as well as to expand the interaction between society, state bodies and the scientific and expert community.
Among the main theses of the conference, important issues were raised, such as increasing the role of the state language as a means of interethnic communication, the widespread introduction of ethnomediation practices, and the continuation of international cooperation in the field of ethnopolitics.
In addition, an exhibition of traveling archival documents, books, ethnic newspapers and magazines dedicated to the 30-year history of the Assembly was organized.
