As of the end of 2024, the number of recipients of social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the SSF) due to job loss amounted to 293.6 thousand people, while last year 258.6 thousand people were granted payments for the first time. The total amount of payments amounted to 88.3 billion tenge.
In accordance with the current legislation, dismissed employees receive social payments for job loss for a period of 1 to 6 months, depending on their length of participation in the compulsory social insurance system and their income over the last 24 months. Payment is made at the expense of the Social Insurance Fund in the amount of up to 45% of lost income.
To assign a payment, a dismissed employee must:
- log in to the eGov.kz portal;
- select the “Register job seekers” service in the “Job placement and employment” section;
- order an online service, fill in all the fields, sign it with an electronic signature and send an application;
- within one day, the career center (hereinafter referred to as the MO) at your place of residence will offer vacancies;
- if a job is not found, you will be remotely assigned the status of unemployed within 3 working days (if necessary, an employee of the MO will contact you to collect additional information);
This service can also be obtained online through the Electronic Labor Exchange (enbek.kz).
When there is information about registering as unemployed, the information system of the Ministry of Labor proactively sends a message to the mobile phone from the Social Insurance Fund to agree to the provision of services for assigning a payment Sends an SMS message. If you agree, you must respond to the SMS message. The payment will be assigned automatically.
Remember that the social payment paid in case of loss of employment at the expense of the Social Insurance Fund is made regardless of the reasons for leaving work and is intended to support the unemployed person during the period when he is looking for a job.
