The grand opening of the Alzhan Basketball League for students of grades 5-6 took place in the Abai region. The competition is attended by 12 men's and 8 women's teams representing various regions of the region.
The main goal of creating the Alzhan league is to attract young people to active sports, identify talented players and create conditions for their further growth. In addition, the Alzhan League will allow students not only to improve their sports skills, but also to organize leisure activities outside of school hours.
According to the organizers, basketball has become increasingly popular among young people in the region in recent years, and the creation of such a league is a long—awaited step that will help raise the level of play and strengthen the position of sports in the region.
"Basketball is not only a game, but also a tool for fostering leadership skills, friendship and mutual assistance. We will continue to support the development of basketball in the region in order to give young people all the opportunities for self—realization," said Rafael Mursalimov, senior referee of the Alzhan League.
Let us remind you that the development of basketball in the Abai region did not begin by chance. Exactly one year ago, the basketball federation was established in the region, which became a platform for bringing together enthusiasts, professionals and those who sincerely believe in the potential of this sport.
Today, the basketball infrastructure is actively developing in the region, sports grounds are being opened, tournaments and competitions are regularly held, which attract a large number of participants, and schoolchildren and students are given the opportunity to attend basketball sections for free.
