The Kurchatov city administration has been implementing the established plans for the improvement of courtyard areas and public spaces throughout the year. Despite the difficulties associated with the geographical features of the region, significant results were achieved in 2024.
In 2024, sanitary felling of dead trees was carried out in the courtyards of apartment buildings. With the sponsorship of Kazzinc JSC, 4 courtyard areas were repaired and asphalt was laid. Benches and 3 children's playgrounds were installed. Within the framework of the guarantee obligation, 7,150 square meters of potholes were repaired and road markings were drawn. The necessary road signs were installed near educational institutions.
In addition, work has begun on the reconstruction of the road in the Pavlodar direction, which is planned to be completed in 2025. At the expense of the regional budget, the lighting on Kurchatov Street was renovated, and poles and lamps were replaced. This year, it is planned to completely modernize the lighting of the main streets by switching to the "Smart City" technology.
Also, the "Builders' Alley" and "White Balcony", where residents often gather, have undergone major repairs. Part of the embankment of the Irtysh River has been additionally landscaped, a children's playground has been installed. A children's playground has been built in the Central Park, and new pumps have been purchased for the fountain. This year, work will be completed in the "Central" and "Youth" parks. The facades of 5 multi-storey buildings have been painted. It is planned to upgrade 5 more buildings in 2025.
Also, this year, it is planned to complete the asphalting of the roads in the remaining 10 courtyards, reconstruct and expand the park to the banks of the Irtysh River, and install traffic lights at the main intersections of the city.
