The implementation of the “People's Participatory Budget” project continues in the capital, within the framework of which citizens will have the opportunity to improve and repair their yards. District akimats are now accepting applications, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The “People's Participatory Budget” project is aimed at supporting citizens' initiatives aimed at major repairs of their yards, opening squares, parks and other public places.
The program consists of 7 stages: creating an expert council, accepting applications, analyzing project proposals, voting, summarizing, creating and implementing work plans.
The Sarayshyk district akimat has already started accepting applications from residents. It will last until March 1. During this time, participants must prepare a development plan, indicating specific changes and budget calculations.
Completed projects are uploaded to the “Useful Links” section of the district akimat's official website, where the “People's Participatory Budget-2025” tab is located. After technical analysis and verification, applications will proceed to the voting stage.
Voting will take place from April 6 to 24. To do this, you need to log in to the district akimat website or the Egov Mobile application using an electronic digital signature.
One resident can vote for only one project. Winners will be determined in three categories: up to 40 apartments, up to 100 apartments, and more than 100 apartments.
Applications have been accepted in the Saryarka district of the capital since January 20. The “Budget with People’s Participation” project has been successfully implemented in the district since 2019. During this time, 121 resident initiatives have been implemented. Last year alone, 66 yards were renovated, 43 of which were implemented thanks to the participation of city residents.
Residents of the Nura district can also apply to participate in the program until March 1. As part of the program, more than 100 yards in Astana are renovated annually. By participating in the project, residents can submit their ideas for improving their yards.
Residents of the Baikonur district can submit their applications to the official Internet resource of the akimat www.baikonyr-astana.kz in the section "Budget with People's Participation-2025".
To submit an application, you must fill out an application (indicate the name of the project, its description), attach a sketch and estimate (may be approximate), photos of the current state and, if desired, a presentation. This section also contains the rules of this project, a sample project proposal, deadlines for project activities, and the composition of the expert council.
The Almaty district akimat also accepts applications. Only residents of this district can participate in the project.
The acceptance of applications in the Yesil district began on January 23. It will also last until March 1.
