Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Receives Uzbek Ambassador
01.02.2025 20:36:33 572Astana, January 27, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan – Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtileu received the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov.
During the meeting, topical issues of interaction between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the political, trade-economic, water-energy and transit-transport spheres were discussed.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached at a high level as a result of the working visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Khiva in April last year and the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Astana in August.
M. Nurtileu noted Kazakhstan's interest in further expanding comprehensive cooperation with Uzbekistan in the spirit of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance.
In this context, the heads of the two states agreed to increase trade turnover to 10 billion US dollars in the coming years in the fields of trade, industry, transport, agriculture, digitalization, space The importance of searching for new ways to deepen cooperative ties was noted.
In turn, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan reported on Tashkent's firm position on further strengthening allied relations with Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on topical issues of the international agenda. Readiness to continue mutual support within multilateral structures and promote the sustainable development of the Central Asian region was expressed.
The schedule of upcoming high-level and high-level events was considered.
At the end of the conversation, B. Ibragimov expressed gratitude for the meeting and assured that he would make every effort to comprehensively deepen Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation.
