Under the agreement between Astana and Seoul, about 100 students have mastered the intricacies of working professions, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
It should be noted that in 2004, a memorandum was signed on the internship of students of the capital's universities and colleges at the Institute of Technology and Education in Seoul, Korea.
There, young specialists from our country receive training in the specialties of automatic mechanics, welders, cooks, tailors, and hairdressers, and increase their experience.
Over the past 20 years, about 100 students from other countries have crossed the border, mastered the intricacies of working professions in Korea, and received special certificates of completion of the internship.
Thanks to the influence of this cooperation, Kazakhstani youth have become excellent specialists, and thanks to the experience they have gained, they are opening and expanding their businesses in our country.
The last time, in 2024, three students from a college in our city received training in the "Hairdresser" specialty. Currently, they are working in this field in our country and turning their experience into a source of income.
Students are trained in Korea under this program on a competitive basis through interviews. The commission selects worthy participants for this program. The main criteria for competitive selection are fluency in English and Korean, and a desire to work in the chosen specialty in the future.
It should be noted that the Seoul City Department of Education provides interns with round-trip tickets, training (textbooks, materials, excursions), accommodation, meals, medical care, and insurance.
