"Clean Kazakhstan": a campaign to clean the yards of the elderly was held in the capital

The capital city experiences heavy snowfall in winter. It is difficult for elderly people living in their homes on such days. To help them, employees of the Emergency Situations Department, together with the Sarayshyk District Akimat, held a snow-clearing event for pensioners as part of the “Clean Kazakhstan” campaign, the official website of the capital’s Akimat reports.
The organizers of the event visited elderly residents of the Sarayshyk District and cleared their yards.
“Today, as part of the “Clean Kazakhstan” campaign, the elderly were helped by clearing the yards along Shcherbakty Street. I urge our colleagues from other departments to join the campaign and support elderly citizens,” said Manas Kadyrbayev, deputy chief of fire department No. 23.
A resident of the district expressed gratitude to the employees who helped with the snow-clearing. Snow-clearing is not an easy task for elderly people, so they are always happy to receive such help.
Recall that in Astana, the “Clean Kazakhstan. A large-scale eco-campaign "Astana - a model of cleanliness and order" is underway. Youth activists, non-governmental organizations, cultural and sports figures are supporting those in need during inclement weather, distributing hot tea and baursak, and shoveling snow.
