Working young people living in rented housing without the right to purchase in Astana today have the opportunity to participate in the "Youth of the Capital" program, the official website of the city akimat reports.
As part of this innovation, age restrictions and requirements for professions have been removed for young people living in rented housing without the right to purchase, and tenants will be evicted after the lease term, that is, 5 years.
"Now the main condition for them is confirmation of solvency through the bank. If income is insufficient, you can attract joint borrowers. If the main employer in the category of working young people does not have a stable income (for example, on maternity leave or unemployed), the participation of the spouse (if any) is allowed when applying for a loan," the Astana Housing Center reports.
Since January 23, employees of "Family Bank" JSC have been advising young people whose lease agreement for housing without the right to purchase expires in March 2025 and conducting a preliminary check of their solvency at the capital's Housing Center. The implementation of the program for this category of youth and further processing of loans under the "Yelorda Zhastary" program will be carried out in the Housing Center of Astana and branches of "Otbasy Bank" JSC in the first decade of February of this year.
The requirements of the "Yelorda Zhastary" program for other categories of residents of the capital, depending on the field of activity, will remain unchanged. Young employees of state bodies and private organizations in Astana will be involved in the program.
Under the "Yelorda Zhastary" program, young people will be provided with a preferential loan for housing at an annual interest rate of 5 percent. The loan amount, regardless of the term of accumulation, is up to 18 million tenge, subject to the accumulation of a down payment of 10% of the market value of the housing. The loan term is up to 19 years. Young people can purchase an apartment both at the primary and on the market.
This year, citizens whose lease terms expire in 2025 will be eligible for the "Yelorda Zhastary" preferential lending program.
