The 41st meeting of the Council of the KAZENERGY Association was held in Astana today. The event was attended by Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Akkenzhenov, heads of large companies in the oil and gas sector, including JSC NC KazMunayGas, LLP Tengizchevroil, ExxonMobil Kazakhstan and JSC KEGOC.
In his speech, Vice Minister of Energy E. Akkenzhenov thanked the Association for its systematic work on the development of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan. In 2024, the Ministry of Energy jointly with KAZENERGY held important events and drafted key documents aimed at improving the investment climate and supporting the petrochemical industry.
An important event of the year was a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov on the development of the industry, at which key initiatives were supported.
In order to create favorable conditions for the development of the petrochemical industry, work is underway to develop a draft law "On the petrochemical Industry", amendments to the Code "On Subsoil and Subsoil Use" aimed at improving the investment attractiveness of the oil and gas industry have been agreed and adopted.
At the end of his speech, Vice Minister of Energy Ye. Akkenzhenov noted the active participation of the Association in the implementation of key issues of the development of the country's oil and gas complex.
