Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Oshurbbayev held a meeting with ADB representatives as part of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) advisory mission to Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the main aspects of cooperation within the framework of the Glaciers to Farms (G2F) project were discussed.
Recall that at COP29, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, the Asian Development Bank, the Green Climate Fund, signed a Declaration on Partnership on Glaciers and Transboundary Cooperation.
For example, on January 30-31, 2025, a seminar will be held in Astana to discuss financing mechanisms, criteria for selecting priority investments, and the introduction of innovative approaches to natural resource management. Representatives of government agencies, international organizations, scientific groups and other stakeholders are expected to participate.
The seminar will provide a platform for participants to exchange experiences, discuss innovative solutions and develop joint actions aimed at improving environmental sustainability.
