Clean Kazakhstan: Products made from recycled household waste

Today, an event was held at secondary school No. 56 of Aktobe to create products from recycled environmentally friendly materials.
The main goal of the event “Give a second life to household waste” is to raise awareness among students about the importance of recycling household waste and creating environmentally friendly products from recycled materials.
In addition, the competition is aimed at actively involving the younger generation in solving social problems set out in the national program “Clean Kazakhstan”.
Students in grades 8-11 from 52 schools in Aktobe participated in the competition. 24 group and 28 individual works submitted by 90 students were submitted. The students' projects were evaluated by a jury consisting of teachers, psychologists and eco-activists.
“Recycling household waste is not just a fashion trend, but a conscious need closely related to our future. The formation of environmental awareness is not a one-time event, but a constant work. Our task as educators is to inspire children to think ecologically, to show that every step they take is important. Only with joint efforts can we raise a generation that values ​​and is ready to protect our Motherland - Kazakhstan,” said Farida Suyun, a biology teacher at secondary school No. 40.
Also, one of the participants in the competition, Kristina Sozinova, a student of grade 8 “B” at secondary school No. 1, shared her impressions.
“Our team chose the topic of household waste recycling because this is a very important issue for nature. We often see how garbage pollutes the environment and we thought about what we can do to reduce it. I was very interested in participating in this competition, because I learned how important it is to care for the environment. I think that if each of us starts with something small, we can help nature,” she says.
Based on the results of the competition, the jury noted the best and most creative projects. The winners were awarded valuable prizes.
At the end of the event, the participants and their teachers emphasized that such projects not only contribute to improving the environmental situation, but also strengthen the sense of responsibility and solidarity. They expressed confidence that today's event will inspire others to actively participate in environmental initiatives and that such events will become a good tradition.
