As part of the large-scale eco-campaign "Clean Kazakhstan. Astana - a model of cleanliness and order", a volunteer relay race for snow removal on the theme "Snow landings" was held in the capital. The event was organized on the territory of 113 metropolitan educational organizations, the official website of the city administration reports.
This is the third year that the event has been held on a large scale and with the participation of all students of the capital at the same time. To attract many participants, students prepared posters and information leaflets and conducted safety training for everyone.
"We participated in an important relay race, which has become an annual tradition and is being held at our school for the third year in a row. The main goal of the campaign is to draw young people's attention to the ecology and cleanliness of the city. We believe that more schoolchildren will participate in this initiative in the future," says Zhanel Tastemirova, a student of school-gymnasium No. 86.
Representatives of the school and student parliaments of Astana sent a relay race to the parents' councils of their organizations in this regard.
