In 2025, ambitious goals and objectives are set for the development of key sectors, including the economy, entrepreneurship, industrial infrastructure and tourism.
In 2025, the region's own revenues are expected to reach 580.2 billion tenge, which is 11.5% more than the actual figure for 2024. The main part of the revenues will be tax revenues of 562.2 billion tenge (+14.4%).
Although non-tax revenues decreased to 3.8 billion tenge due to the lack of one-time revenues last year, a significant increase in income from the sale of capital is expected - up to 14.2 billion tenge. This is due to the sale of housing and land plots on credit.
To achieve 6% economic growth, the volume of gross regional product will be increased to 6 trillion 407 billion tenge. The main sectors provide the following indicators:
Industrial production: 2.2 trillion tenge (+7.5%).
Trade: 2.0 trillion tenge (+7.4%).
Agriculture: 741.5 billion tenge (+4.5%).
Construction works: 483 billion tenge (+10%).
It is planned to commission 787.5 thousand square meters of housing, which will significantly increase the affordability of housing for the population.
In 2025, 28 large projects with a total value of 359.2 billion tenge are expected to be launched. Among them are Shin Line LLP, GalanzBottlers JSC, LC Waikiki and other companies.
41 investment projects worth 3.3 trillion tenge are being implemented, which will create more than 7.5 thousand jobs. Among the largest projects are initiatives by Mars, Carlsberg, Hyundai Green and Fufeng Group.
The construction of 22 facilities with an investment of 210.4 billion tenge is planned in industrial zones. 5 projects are being implemented in the Kairat industrial zone, including factories for the production of liquid glass, polyethylene pipes and dry building mixtures.
Special attention is paid to the development of the Almaty mountain cluster, including the Ili-Alatau National Natural Park and the Zailiysky and Kungei-Alatau ranges.
As part of the comprehensive tourism development plan for 2025–2032, it is planned to build 100 km of highways, 80 km of bicycle paths and 170 km of pedestrian routes.
One of the main projects is the expansion of the year-round resort "Oi-Qaragai". By 2028, its area will increase from 105 hectares to 1,000 hectares, and the number of tourists will increase to 900,000 people per year.
To achieve the goals set in 2025, all heads of departments, district and city akims must work together. We are confident that the implementation of the planned tasks will ensure the sustainable growth of the region and improve the quality of life of residents.
