In the Kyzylorda region, growth in all key macroeconomic indicators was ensured by the end of the year.
This was noted by the regional governor Nurlybek Nalibayev at an expanded meeting of the Government chaired by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"The region's economic growth amounted to 7 percent (in 2023 - 107.3%). With your support, the Government, our regional budget exceeded 750 billion tenge.
Taking into account the downward trend in oil reserves, which account for the main share of the economy, for more than 15 years, we are actively developing the processing industry and the agricultural sector, as well as the oil and gas processing industry.
Geological surveys are being conducted to discover new deposits, and the lower layers of oil are being developed. Drilling (wells) to a depth of 5,500 meters has begun in the fields, and unconventional (black shale oil) hydrocarbon development has begun,” said N. Nalibayev.
640 billion tenge was invested in fixed capital in the region, the growth was 21.7 percent (14 percent higher than the average for the republic, RK - 107.5%). 70.5 percent of which is private investment. Thanks to effective work with foreign investors, direct investment in the amount of 171 million US dollars was attracted in 9 months. Growth - 16.6 percent.
