Akim of Abay region Nurlan Urankhayev met with representatives of the Tatarstan delegation. The delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, representatives of the ministry, heads of leading processing enterprises of the republic, specialists in the development of rural cooperation and agricultural entrepreneurs.
As part of the three-day working visit, the guests visited several farms and enterprises engaged in the processing of agricultural products in Semey city and the region and got acquainted with the progress of work.
They also met with entrepreneurs working in the development of beef cattle breeding and discussed the exchange of experience.
The head of the region, expressing his pleasure at seeing the distinguished guests in Abay region, told about the work done in the region and future plans.
“Today’s meeting shows that friendly relations between the two states and regions have reached a new level. We have no doubt that each meeting will bring useful and high-quality results for the parties. This time we had the opportunity to freely exchange views and share our best practices in the agricultural sector. Abay region is a region that has long been focused on livestock farming. We have a lot to learn from your republic, especially from the field of crop production. Your farmers are working successfully in this direction. The fertility of your land has its own impact on this. Now, in our region, in addition to agriculture, there is a pace of development in other sectors. We have specific plans for the comprehensive development of our region,” the regional governor said.
Tatarstan farmers will rely on the experience of Abay region in the development of meat livestock. Within this framework, they are interested in jointly carrying out work on cattle breeding. They also plan to follow the example of our regional entrepreneurs in the development of horse breeding.
According to the information of the Department of Agriculture, the volume of exports of agricultural products from the region will increase by 2 times in the next 3 years. This will be due to the construction of 2 meat processing plants, 1 meat-oriented chicken factory and a production feedlot for 20 thousand heads in our region. These enterprises plan to transport their products not only to our republic, but also to countries far and near abroad.
During the meeting with the akim, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov highly appreciated the work done in the socio-economic and cultural spheres of the region and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome on behalf of the delegation. He expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to develop.
