It has been snowing in the capital for the second day in a row. The city's utilities are working in an enhanced mode, and snow removal work is being carried out around the clock, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On January 30, 2,642 road workers and more than 1,800 special equipment were deployed for snow removal work during the day shift.
On the night of January 30, about 50 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital to snow dumps in 4,077 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, about 4.4 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city in 341,831 heavy truck flights.
First of all, according to the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow polygons in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, please call "112".
