A groundbreaking ceremony for the new production complex "Confectionery Capital" of JSC "Bayan Sulu" was held in Kostanay. The capacity of the new complex will be 16 thousand tons of products per year, which will allow the domestic manufacturer to take a leading position in the flour confectionery market, including such segments as butter cookies and biscuits. The enterprise will use advanced technologies that will ensure a full production cycle from agricultural raw materials to the release of the final product.
According to the Deputy Akim of the Kostanay region Arman Abenov:
"The head of state set the task of diversifying the economy, including by increasing the share of agricultural raw material processing to 70% within three years. We are confident that with the introduction of such large-scale projects as "Confectionery Capital", we will be able to significantly reduce import dependence on key food products, increase the level of processing of domestic raw materials and strengthen the region's export potential. This project is an example of how the synergy of business and government support benefits the entire economy of Kazakhstan."
Representatives of the enterprise emphasized that the launch of the complex will be an important step in increasing the competitiveness of domestic production:

For me, this is a great pride, because our city is becoming a real confectionery capital of Kazakhstan," she said.
The new production complex will create 260 jobs, which is especially important for the socio-economic development of the region. The project provides for the training of highly qualified personnel to work with modern equipment.
Kostanay as a center of the confectionery industry
Today, domestic manufacturers produce more than 300 types of products, 55% of which are sold on the domestic market, 45% are exported. The commissioning of the new complex will allow the company not only to strengthen its leadership position in the domestic market, but also to expand exports.
The project, worth more than 14 billion tenge, is an important part of the strategy to attract private investment and strengthen the country's food security.
