A regular meeting of the anti-terrorist commission of the region was held in the akimat of the Abai region under the chairmanship of Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev.
The meeting of the anti-terrorist commission following the results of the 4th quarter was attended by the first heads of all territorial state bodies-members of the ATK of the region, heads of akimat departments and akims of cities and districts of the region in the format of the VKS.
At the meeting of the commission, issues of the implementation of the "National Security Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2025" and the "Roadmap for the prevention of extremism and terrorism among minors for 2024-2026" were considered.
"In modern realities, in order to effectively counter the threats of religious extremism penetration into the consciousness of the citizens of our country, special attention should be paid to the issues of active promotion of the national traditions of Kazakh society in the information space, in social networks and messengers. I would like to emphasize the need and importance of conducting awareness-raising work in educational institutions. Intolerance to manifestations of religious extremism must be formed from the very beginning of personality formation, and this happens in the family and school," said Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhaev.
He also stressed the importance of joint efforts of all state bodies in the formation of secular and religious immunity and intolerance to religious radicalism.
"According to the preliminary assessment of the Anti–Terrorist Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the results of the work of all anti-terrorist commissions in the republic, the work of the state bodies of our region was noted in the forefront," said Abai Zhanat Nutpayev, head of the Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the region, who was present at the meeting. "At the same time, special attention should be paid to conducting awareness-raising work in the so-called "risk groups", that is, among the unemployed, migrant workers, marginal youth and other socially vulnerable segments of the population."
In general, the meeting of the anti-terrorist commission of the region was held in a constructive and working atmosphere, appropriate recommendations and directions for further action were developed, specific protocol instructions were given.
