In September 2022, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev launched the “National Fund for Children” initiative as part of his Address to the People of Kazakhstan “A Just State. A United Nation. A Prosperous Society”. As part of this initiative, $129.38 was transferred to Kazakhstani children under the age of 18 in 2025.
Caring for the rising generation is one of the priority areas of state policy. Now families in the country can be confident in the support of the state from the moment a child is born until he reaches adulthood. For example, the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is aimed at improving the well-being of young citizens, as well as creating comprehensive conditions for their education and success. Starting from 2024, Kazakhstani children will receive annual transfers from the National Fund, including investment income, until they reach the age of 18. "We are improving the quality of life of our citizens and laying the foundation for a better future for our children," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main mission of the "National Fund for Children" project is to provide each child with their share of the national wealth by saving financial resources through the formation of savings for future generations. In 2024, 6,919,131 people participated in this program (including children born in 2006-2023), and $100.52 was transferred to each of their accounts. The total amount of money transferred is $695.5 million. In total, 304,815 people from the total number of those covered by this program turned 18 in 2024, and a total of $30.6 million was transferred to them.
In 2025, approximately $129.38 was transferred to each child.
The total amount of savings of children (including investment income) who have been participating in the program for two years increased by $232.94.
Information about transfers under the “National Fund for Children” program will be displayed on the eGov.kz portal and in the eGov Mobile mobile application on February 1, 2025.
The payment mechanism is extremely simple. Information about the child’s participation in the program and the accrued funds can be viewed on the specially created website kids.enpf.kz by entering the child’s TIN. There you can familiarize yourself with the terms of the program, get instructions, and answers to relevant questions. In addition, data on transfers for children can be viewed by logging into your personal account on the eGov.kz portal, as well as through the Kaspi.kz and Halyk applications.
One of the important tasks of the state is to provide equal access to education and housing for all. In this regard, the “National Fund for Children” initiative has become a significant support for young Kazakhstanis.
The accumulated amount can be used by any young citizen upon reaching the age of 18. The savings are transferred to accounts in the National Pension Fund, and project respondents can spend the appropriate amount on improving housing conditions and (or) education by applying through the applications of authorized operators (Otbasy Bank and Halyk Bank).
As of January 1, 2025, 66,571 applications were submitted for this purpose, of which 53,001 applications for a total amount of $5,316.7 thousand were implemented. 34,388 applications were submitted to improve housing conditions, of which 29,542 were implemented, and $2,964,000 was paid. 32,183 applications were submitted for education, of which 23,459 applications were satisfied, and $2,352.7 thousand was paid.
This year, 6,921,035 children are participating in the program (children born from 2007 to 2024). Of these, 324,430 citizens will turn 18 in 2025.
The use of funds from the National Fund to support our young compatriots is a strategic decision aimed at the sustainable development of our country. This initiative will have a positive impact on improving the quality of life and allow future generations to look to the future with great confidence.
