Kazakhstan and Tatarstan to strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sector strengthens

Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangali Berdalin met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov.
The delegation that arrived at the meeting included representatives of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the companies "Krasny Vostok" MK", "Edelweiss Group", "Kazanskie delikatesy", and Tatarstan farms. They came to Kazakhstan to study the experience in beef cattle breeding, agro-structure and the development of the agro-industrial complex in general.
The Vice Minister noted that interaction in the agricultural sector is one of the priority areas of cooperation between the countries.
According to the results of 11 months of 2024, the trade turnover of agricultural products with Tatarstan amounted to 61.1 million US dollars, which is 3.7% more than in the same period in 2023. In addition, the parties noted their interest in increasing trade in agricultural products.
Amangali Berdalin informed about state support measures for beef cattle and horse breeding and insurance of the agricultural sector.
"Full-cycle meat clusters are being created, from fodder production to sales of finished products. Based on Australian experience, it is planned to build 6 feedlots with a capacity of 98 thousand heads of livestock, a feedlot for 50 thousand heads of small livestock, as well as the first specialized livestock exchange in the next 2 years. The Ministry will provide full support for each project. Deep processing of agricultural products is a priority for us. We are interested in creating joint production facilities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the Vice Minister said.
In turn, Marat Zyabbarov noted his readiness to strengthen cooperation in all areas.
As part of the work program, the delegation members got acquainted with the activities of the Meat Union of Kazakhstan, visited livestock facilities in the Abai region, and also planned to visit farms in the Akmola region.
