The modernization of the parking infrastructure continues in Almaty. Since December 5, on the territory of parking lots of the site type in Zhetysu district in front of the shopping center "Adem", shopping center "Yalyan", shopping center "Alatau 1"/shopping center "Batyr", shopping center "Almaly"/Olzha shopping center, Barys market, as well as Nurly Tau business center, barrier-free parking systems will be launched north of al-Farabi Avenue, east of Zheltoksan Street in Bostandyk district.
The barrier-free parking system uses modern photo and video cameras to control the entry and exit of cars. At the entrance to the parking lot, the camera automatically records the state number and the time of arrival of the car. The departure time is fixed in the same way. This allows you to accurately take into account the duration of parking and eliminates the need to stop in front of the barrier, which significantly reduces time and eliminates queues.
The launch of this type of parking will allow thousands of drivers to save time every day and avoid congestion at entrances and exits. Installing information plates with instructions and QR codes for quick payment will make the process even more convenient.
There is a prepaid payment system in communal parking lots. Drivers are offered several convenient ways:
* Mobile application "Parking Almaty": available for iOS and Android devices. In the application, you can select "prepayment" or "postpaid" (until 23:59 of the current day).
* Website Almaty-parking.kz : allows you to pay for parking online without registration.
* SMS payment: subscribers of Kcell, Activ, Beeline, Tele2, Altel can send SMS to the number 1309 and pay from the mobile account balance.
* Kassa 24 and Qiwi terminals: for those who prefer cash payment.
* Banking applications: payment via mobile applications of second-tier banks.
Recall that in October of this year, a similar parking system was launched in the parking areas of the universal markets "Kazyna", "Arlan", "Alatau-2", "Akbulak-1", "Akbulak-2" and "Akbulak-3". Drivers note the convenience of the new system.
"You don't have to wait for the car in front of you to get its ticket and pull into the parking lot. And when you leave, you don't have to wait for other drivers to make the payment, sometimes they don't even know how to pay. There are noticeably fewer traffic jams at the entrance and exit," one of the drivers comments.
The introduction of a barrier—free parking system is part of a global strategy to improve urban infrastructure. It is planned that in the near future, for the convenience of Almaty residents, such a system will be installed in most municipal parking lots of the city.
