Doctors of the Central City Clinical Hospital saved a patient with lower limb ischemia
A 73-year-old patient with severe occlusion of the abdominal aorta and all major arteries of the lower limb was admitted to the Central City Clinical Hospital. Despite outpatient treatment, his condition worsened - he developed leg pain associated with severe ischemia.
"We performed aortobifemoral prosthetics - an operation to replace the damaged area of the abdominal aorta and restore blood flow in the arteries of the lower limb. Now the patient's condition is stable, the pulse in the arteries of the leg is clear, and he is being prepared for discharge," said vascular surgeon Alisher Abzhaparov.
Aortobifemoral prosthetics is a high-tech vascular intervention that allows you to restore blood supply to the lower limb, prevent the development of gangrene and preserve the patient's ability to move. The operation was performed within the framework of compulsory social medical insurance (MSMI), and its cost is approximately 1 million 300 thousand tenge. Thanks to the MSMS system, the patient received the necessary high-tech medical care free of charge.
Timely surgical intervention prevented serious complications and preserved the patient's quality of life.
