At the end of 2024, the economic growth in the Zhetysu region amounted to 114.8%, and the Head of State's task to ensure stable growth at the level of 6% was fulfilled. This was announced today at the akimat meeting chaired by the akim of the Zhetysu region Beibut Isabayev, the press service of the akim of the Zhetysu region reports.
As stated at the meeting, the growth in the volume of gross regional product in the region is expected to be at the level of 9-10%. Growth in agriculture - 3.0%, in industry - 3.4%, housing commissioning - 15.2%, construction work increased by 1.5 times, and trade volume increased by 1.2 times. Revenues to the state budget exceeded 313 billion tenge, of which only local revenues amounted to 118 billion tenge.
At the meeting, B. Isabayev drew attention to several topical issues.
- The President identified 8 main areas at the expanded meeting of the Government. He noted that economic growth, especially the volume of private investment attracted, directly affects the quality of life of the population. In this regard, district and city akims should establish effective work with investors. They should learn to be not just executors, but also initiators, take responsibility, and work effectively. In order to improve the quality of life of the population, it is necessary to implement new investment projects and create jobs with decent salaries, - said B. Isabayev.
In addition, he instructed to take measures to terminate contracts with unscrupulous contractors regarding "bearded construction" and complete construction facilities by the end of the year. At the same time, he emphasized that the targeted and timely development of the budget is the personal responsibility of district and city akims.
Also, having listened to the reports of a number of regional department heads, Beibut Isabayev set them specific tasks regarding the development of industries. For example, it is necessary to introduce a permanent practice of reusing standard projects in construction. This method will allow reducing budget costs. He also instructed to improve the quality of education, promote the employment of college graduates, and attract highly qualified IT specialists to the region. As noted in the meeting, today the Regional Geoinformation System is operating in the region. This system allows for remote monitoring of sectors, including social, housing and communal services, emergency prevention, road, and agricultural sectors.
- We finished the past year with good indicators. We are in second place in the republic in terms of fulfilling short-term indicators. The most important thing is to improve the quality of life of the population. This is also the requirement set by the President. Over the past two years, we have increased the level of gasification of the region from 29% to 56.5%. By the end of the year, this indicator should reach 72%. Special attention will be paid to drinking water supply and road repair. Special attention will be paid to the regional center, the city budget will increase by 33%. It is planned to create a city life management center in Taldykorgan according to the Smart City standard. Our goal is to turn the city into a safe, comfortable, beautiful, and green city. In general, a number of new changes have taken place this year. The concept of inclusive policy has been adopted. There are new introductions in financial and tax policy. We must fulfill the tasks set before us together with maslikhat deputies, veterans' organizations, and public associations, - said B. Isabayev.
At the end of the meeting, the best were awarded based on the results of the year. In particular, the akimat of the Panfilov district was recognized as the "Best District" and was awarded a tractor. The "Zhetysu" TV channel was recognized as the best institution, and the channel was provided with new studio equipment. In turn, the construction department was recognized as the best department. In addition, the head of the regional economy and budget planning department Rauan Dautalinov, head of the culture, archives and documentation department Kuanysh Suleimenov, head of the land relations department Yermek Apekov, deputy akim of Taldykorgan Zhenis Andabekov, and chairman of the Eskeldy district maslikhat Kanat Satanov, who have effectively led in their respective fields, will be awarded a special badge of gratitude "For their faithful service and work."
