SMEU Astana LLP presented a project to implement an automated traffic management system (ATMS) aimed at improving the safety and efficiency of Semey's transport infrastructure.
The goal of the project is not only to solve road infrastructure problems, but also to create conditions for the prevention of future traffic accidents. The introduction of new technologies will be part of the strategic development plan of Semey, which includes public transport, road safety and urban infrastructure.
The company representatives who attended the presentation presented such innovations as the real-time operation of traffic lights and the "AJO Inspector" system, which allows you to monitor the condition of intersections, pedestrian traffic lights with sound, adjustable, projection, active pedestrian crossings.
The introduction of an automated traffic management system will significantly increase the efficiency of the city's transport system, reduce average travel time by 20%, reduce traffic load by 10%, increase the throughput of intersections by 25%, and also identify problem areas of streets and roads with 100% accuracy.
The Akimat of the Abay region is interested in implementing the project. In this regard, the head of the region gave relevant instructions to the responsible departments of the Police Department and the Semey city akimat.
