Astana hosts a seminar on creating a social environment for people with disabilities

The Astana Development Center has launched the country's first course on creating an accessible urban and social environment for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The project "Seminar on infrastructure and services accessible to the public, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities and low-mobility groups of the population" has been launched in Astana.
The organizer of the project is Astana Development Center LLP of the Akimat of the city.
Inclusion is a key element of modern society aimed at creating conditions for the full participation of people with physical and mental disabilities in public life. The implementation of this project will be an important step towards creating an accessible and inclusive urban environment, providing equal opportunities for all categories of citizens, as well as strengthening Astana's position as a modern, comfortable and hospitable city for all.
Experts of the Eurasian Association for the Development of an Inclusive Society were involved in the implementation of the project, which developed the national standard ST RK 3846-2023, approved by the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 14, 2023.
In the first days of work, that is, on December 2-3, 30 people were trained. 200 specialists of tourist facilities and hotels in Astana will be trained. Participants will receive theoretical and practical knowledge and tools to create a comfortable and accessible environment for people with limited mobility, which will increase the level of tourist attractiveness of the capital in the future.

The third stream of training: December 12-13;
The fourth stream of training: December 17-18;
