The participants of the event discussed important issues related to EU requirements for imported animal products, including sanitary and phytosanitary measures, microbiological safety, as well as acceptable levels of pesticides and medicines. They also agreed on measures to strengthen control at border crossings, which should help increase the level of mutual trust and create conditions for the development of bilateral trade relations.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of international standards, such as the norms of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) and the Codex Alimentarius.
