Compared to the previous year, in 2024, The volume of road transit transportation increased by 39% and amounted to about 5 million tons of cargo.
At the same time, transit from China increased by 67% (from 1.5 million tons to 2.5 million tons). In order to maintain the dynamics of transit transportation and ensure its further growth, the Ministry is implementing the following measures:
- transition to electronic format of foreign permit forms with Turkey, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania.
- expansion of the geography of transportation by concluding new intergovernmental agreements on road transportation with Portugal and Denmark.
Kazakhstan has currently concluded 42 intergovernmental agreements for the implementation of international road transportation, on the basis of which the Ministry annually exchanges permit forms.
