Last year, 1,276 new business projects were financed from the local budget in Karaganda region. Also, operating companies received state support. Thanks to the "Entrepreneur" program and the National Entrepreneurship Development Project for 2021-2025, enterprises producing orthopedic mattresses and room dividers have not only expanded production, but also launched competitive production.
Flamingo KZ LLP, established in 2016, produces orthopedic mattresses. The company covers the full production cycle - from the manufacture of an orthopedic spring block to the packaging of the finished product.
The use of high-quality materials from leading manufacturers has made it possible to create products that are not inferior to many imported analogues. Today, the factory employs about 40 people. The enterprise's tax payments are increasing every year. The funds received under the "Entrepreneur" program have helped the company expand production, purchase new equipment, and increase productivity.
- Our goal is to become a well-known brand not only in the region, but throughout Kazakhstan, - says Ekaterina Nurakhmetova, head of the sales department of Flamingo KZ LLP. – State support helps us to develop sustainably.
Ismail Doors is one of the few companies in the region that is ready to fulfill large orders and produces interior doors.
The design capacity of the enterprise is 10–12 thousand doors per year. Interior doors are made of certified materials.
The company employs 20 people. The enterprise received support for business expansion and the purchase of equipment under the national project for the development of entrepreneurship for 2021–2025.
According to Irina Lyubarskaya, head of the Entrepreneurship Department, supporting small and medium-sized businesses is an investment in the future of the economy. In 2024, 1,276 new projects were financed from the regional budget. Subsidizing previously accepted obligations also continues.
– We are seeing an increase in business activity. The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the regional economy is 43.2%, - says Irina Lyubarskaya. – One of the important support measures was the halving of the retail tax rate - from 4% to 2%, which allowed to increase the number of taxpayers by 20 times, and the amount of tax revenues by 250 times.
The priority areas for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region remain the manufacturing and tourism sectors.
