EXPLANATORY WORK ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FISHERIES WAS CARRIED OUT IN ALL DISTRICT AND CITIES OF TURKESTAN REGION

✔️In his Address to the Nation, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev raised the issue of fisheries development, and in connection with this task, a program for the development of fisheries for 2021-2030 was adopted, and a plan for fish farming of 270 thousand tons was approved across the republic. Work is being carried out in this direction in the Turkestan region. In this regard, it is planned to increase the volume of commercial fish farming in the region to 20 thousand tons by 2030. Currently, relevant instructions have been given to district and city akimats, and today the number of farmers engaged in commercial fish farming in the region has reached 231. 160 of them are legalized by the interregional basin fishery inspection.
✔️The regional akim instructed to hold seminars on the development of fisheries and intensify work on attracting investors. Today, a special working group was formed and visited the Tolebi, Kazygurt, Saryagash, Keles, Maktaaral, Zhetysai, Shardara districts and the city of Arys in the region to conduct explanatory work on state benefits (subsidies) for entrepreneurs and farmers. There, entrepreneurs were provided with a lot of information regarding state support and benefits for the development of fisheries, and their concerns were listened to and discussed.
✔️Special attention is paid to the development of fisheries in the Turkestan region. Last year, a plan for 7,000 tons of fish farming was approved in the region, and 7,509 tons were implemented as of the end of the year. State support is provided for the development of fisheries. In particular, state subsidies for aquaculture have a positive impact on the development of fisheries. In this direction, 500 million tenge were allocated from the local budget in 2024, and the expenses of 62 fisheries entities were reimbursed.
🔁4 large export-oriented enterprises operate in the region. Last year, 2,236.78 tons of fish products were exported to foreign countries.
✔️It should be noted that representatives of a specially created working group visited 17 districts and cities of the region from February 6 to 14, met with entrepreneurs and conducted explanatory work in order to develop fisheries.
