The capital's municipal services are working in an enhanced shift mode around the clock. Snow removal is being carried out continuously in the city, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On the morning of February 14, 2,552 road workers and 1,219 special equipment were mobilized for snow removal.
On the night of February 17, 23 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the city to snow dumps by 1,781 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 5.9 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the capital by 478,264 heavy truck flights.
First of all, in accordance with the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow polygons in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
