Vice Minister of Health Yerzhan Nurlybayev arrived in Aktobe on a working visit. Together with his colleagues, he toured the regional perinatal center, where it is planned to open a surgical center for newborns this year.
During the expanded field trip, the Vice Minister got acquainted with the results of 2024, and also outlined the development prospects of the healthcare system for the year.
The chief physician of the region, Yerlan Sultangereev, spoke about the work to prevent maternal and child mortality in the region.
“Ways to solve this problem have been identified. The most important of them are: strengthening the gravidaral preparedness of families, strengthening professional ties between specialists providing primary medical and sanitary assistance and multidisciplinary hospitals, improving the qualifications of narrow-range specialists," the head of the department said.
Yerlan Sultangereev also noted the shortage of personnel in medical institutions of the region, especially in rural areas. Thanks to social support measures, about 100 specialists are working in remote villages of the region, 25 of them are in a narrow circle.
During the meeting, Nurbol Tympiev, director of the branch of the "AMSK" NJSC, read a report on the financial stability of the regional healthcare system, Aliya Latypova, head of the MFBCD, raised problematic issues and requests for medical assistance, and Raikhan Koishanova, head of the SEBD, spoke about anti-epidemic measures in the region.
Following the meeting, Vice Minister of Health Yerzhan Nurlybayev noted that Aktobe will become a regional leader in providing medical assistance to the entire population of Western Kazakhstan. He also conducted an analysis of the main indicators that have not been achieved together with his colleagues from Aktobe.
According to him, specific grants will be allocated for the residency to train narrow-range personnel in the region. It is also planned to create a Regional Center for Oncohematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation in Aktobe and develop telemedicine.
